Receiving Jesus

4 Simple Steps to Eternal Salvation

This appeal to you today has nothing to do with religion but has everything to do with establishing an eternal relationship with God.  Religion speaks of rules, regulations, traditions, and works that are required in order to achieve a promise.  Yes, in Christianity we perform many of those things but it is not to receive salvation; it is because we have salvation, through Jesus Christ, that we choose to express our love and devotion (to God) in this relationship!  Yes, my friend, He knows you and wants you to know Him as well.  He has an awesome plan for your life!  The Lord speaks in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for YOU," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (NIV)

Step 1 – Confess: I am lost!

If you have not receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior you are presently lost; which means, if you would die at this present moment, you would not receive God’s eternal reward and bliss for mankind; but rather you would be eternally punished and tormented for your sins, through your rejection of Him and His plan for your eternal salvation.  Everything and everybody is subject to The Eternal God!  All other systems and the people that govern them are “temporary” because they lack the ability to exist forever. The Holy Scripture teaches that we are all born in sin (Palms 51:5).  You too were born in sin; which means you are “naturally separated” from God.  You are lost.

Step 2: Confess: I am a practicing sinner.

Mankind has a natural tendency to do sinful things - acts that break the laws of God - because we were born with that “sin nature” we just spoke of in Step 1.  It is a strong like for sin and a strong desire to act upon those desires!  These desires are sometimes referred to as habits, addictions, the “I can’t help its” or the small “white lies”!  Whether the practice is overt or subtle, it is sin!  And to perform it is the “practice of sin.”

Remember, this appeal is for the establishment of salvation in order to have a relationship with God.  Those things that break the laws of God also break the heart of God. Just as you would not like for a love one or friend to inflict any pain on you, you should also give the highest care to the feelings of God.  After you make your confession to Him, acknowledging that you are a practicing sinner, work with all diligence to stop doing those things that would hurt God - for your own sake ("But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear,” Isaiah 59:2) and for His.

Step 3: Confess: I Need Jesus.

Why do you need to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Jesus said, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:103:16).  But just like a natural gift, this gift too must be open (be received).  ).  It is a gift to everyone from God: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John

Jesus Christ is the only way to God! He is the only one with the power to bridge that gap between God and man. Mankind may seek other solutions and worship other gods, but Jesus Christ, alone, died on the Cross for our sins and rose in triumph over the grave and eternal death. He paid the penalty for our sins and bridged the gap between God and mankind. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8). I Timothy 5:8 says, “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

At this moment you can pray the most important prayer of your life by simply saying:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You came to earth 2,000 years ago. I believe you died for me on the cross and shed Your blood for my salvation. I believe you rose from the dead and ascended on high. I believe You are coming back again to earth. Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. Forgive my sins. Cleanse me now with Your precious blood. Come into my heart. Save my soul right now. I give you my life. I receive You now as my Savior, my Lord, and my God. I am Yours forever, and I will serve You and follow You the rest of my life. From this moment on, I belong to You only! I no longer belong to this world, nor to the enemy of my soul. I belong to You, and I am born again.  Please help me to tell others about this wonderful gift!
Amen!

By your confessions, praying this prayer, and receiving Jesus Christ into your heart, God has given you the right to become His forgiven child. The Bible gives you this assurance: "But as many as received him, to them he gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them who believe on his name" (John
1:12).

If you have just received Jesus Christ into your life, we want to rejoice with you.
