Overseer Harold Menefee is a native Houstonian. Born September 16,1962 to the late Pastor
James E Menefee and Essie Shepherd Menefee. He accepted Christ around the age of twelve
years old. He is married to the sunshine of his life, Frenda Joy Menefee and the proud father of
Michael Harold Menefee, Overseer Menefee is a humble servant and gifted gospel singer
whose ultimate desire is to do the will of God.

Overseer Menefee sang with the Praise Community Choir for a number of years. The choir was
founded and organized by Bishop Ed. Bishop has been a great inspiration and mentor over the
years to Overseer Menefee.

Overseer Menefee’s education includes attending Barbara Jordan High School for Careers and
The College of Biblical Studies. He was employed with First Transit, a subcontractor with Metro
for a number of years.

Being led by the Holy Spirit, he began his pastorate at Praise His Name Church as Founder and
Senior Pastor from 2010 until 2020. Overseer Menefee, emphasizes preaching difficult truths
(sin, repentance), staying grounded in the word, and trusting God’s guidance. He promotes a
God-centered worship, accountability, integrity, and support for the ministry.

Overseer Menefee, believes the Great Commission of the Church is to go and make disciples of
every man. He believes it is the church that has the awesome responsibility of transforming
sinners into saints, the helpless into the helpful and believers into Christians.

Overseer Menefee, now serves at Christ Worship Center, under the leadership of Bishop Ed
and Overseer Marilyn Johnson, where we believe God is trusting us with the task of saving
souls for His Kingdom. We strive daily to be the church where “ the mission of Christ is meeting
the needs of the people” and ’Making the kingdom proud.’
