Lorinda Cockrell

Bio
Minister Lorinda Cockrell is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri, where she met her husband, Pastor Bruce Cocrell, and was a five-time All-American in Track and Field. She made history as the first African American woman inducted into the Mizzou Hall of Fame, honoring her exceptional athletic achievements.
She began her ministry journey in 1989 as a Sunday School teacher at Greater Emmanuel Church of God in Christ and later attended Bible college under the leadership of Evangelist Earline Allen. Her foundation in teaching and discipleship has shaped her passion for ministry and service.
At Christ Worship Center, Minister Cockrell has faithfully served in multiple leadership roles, including Sunday School teacher for the Women’s Ministry and Youth Department. She was the founder of the Praise Dance Ministry and, alongside her husband, led the Marriage Ministry.
Currently, she serves as the Director of the Daughters of Rapha Women’s Ministry, is an active member of the Ministers College, and sings in the Voices of Christ. Minister Cockrell is committed to empowering women, strengthening families, and leading others into healing and wholeness through Jesus Christ.
