CHRIST WORSHIP CENTER

Edward Johnson III, affectionally known as Tre, is a minister-in-training.  He is the son of Bishop Ed Johnson and First Lady Marilyn Johnson of Christ Worship Center.  MIT Tre has been a faithful member of the church since birth; he is a proud product of the CWC Youth Ministry, where he attributes learning the fundamentals of the Faith.

 

He has expanded his interests and giftings beyond the Youth Ministry into teaching himself both piano and drums.  Tre is an intricate member of the music department (filling in wherever needed) and has played for other churches as well as throughout the city at revivals and conferences.

 

I am the drummer of Christ Worship Center and a willing servant wherever I am needed.  Also, I am a part of the Evangelistic team, and I look forward to growing my walk with Christ.

 

MIT Tre attended Mickey Leland College Preparatory Academy for 2 years.  He sang in the choir (where we would sing for the school installation).   He transferred to Klein Cain High School, graduating in 2021 with a 3.5 GPA.

 

Tre says, “I believe that God humbled Himself to be a man just like the rest of us.  I believe that He is the same man who would then perform miracles, signs, and wonders for the years He walked the earth. I believe He took the cross up Calvary Hill.  I believe He was nailed, hung, and I believe He died. I believe He lay inside a tomb for 3 days.  On that 3rd day, I believe he was resurrected with all power to sit at the right hand of the Father. I believe that one day, He’s coming back to take us with Him!”  He is a member of the Evangelistic Team and looks forward to growing in his call and winning souls for the Kingdom of God.
